The wind pushes against the trees and through the brush. It opens the horizon until the sun rises to balance the planet. I await that moment of balance while the planet moves but the land appears still and the wind, rain, sun and moon dance around it.

The Lilies of The Lake is inspired by the annual renewal of these aquatic plants floating on the lake as if in limbo. I walk each morning observing the lily ponds that spring from simple cells to form a beautiful living and ever changing wonder of nature. Their cycle is an inspiring metaphor of the renewal of life. Even in the dark of winter the bountiful remnant of beauty still vibrates.
